Targeted Aid to Addicts

In 2015-2017, the organization operated a volunteer baby sitter service for single parents with alcohol abuse. An analysis of the problem showed that addiction requires regular help from psychologists to maintain sobriety, but not everyone could use it due to busy days at work and taking care of children in the evenings. The task of the service was to enable parents who did not have the opportunity to leave their children with relatives or pay a nanny to attend evening self-help groups of Alcoholics Anonymous 1-2 times a week. For three years 9 families received help from our organization. We shut down the service, as the children became independent and the parents were able to organize their life and treatment without assistance.
